With the spread of COVID-19, everything around our lives has been changed. Our lifestyle before covid and after has a huge difference, the lockdown period has changed the dimensions in which things worked. Physical interaction with the world has come down to the lowest, all the education bodies were shut and an era of online or distance learning started. It has various risks and opportunities that arose and the world after a pandemic has to deal with them.
The change from physical education to online education was so sudden that there was hardly any time for planning and preparations to execute the online mode with high efficiency. When we move to such situations, we have to look at the future results and impacts it will leave and all the opportunities that are going to come in the way.
1. The extra concentration of Students will be required

When things get back to the normal state, students must have spent a lot of time attending online sessions and classes, thus their understanding level must have decreased. Many students can not attend online classes because of the unavailability of resources. Many of them must have experienced tough times in the pandemic, having a low income at home or their parents losing a job and thus getting back to normal lives will require so much effort.
While attending online classes, the fundamentals taught at the school or university level like discipline, patience, and teamwork would have been declined in many of them. There is a buzz of technology everywhere and many students must have kept themselves busy with mobile phones and video games. Government has not come up with any guidelines to attract students and give them all the knowledge and manners that they would have lost, but schools will require special instructors, counselors, and health specialists to deal with such activities.
2. Inactive Learning
There are students in many schools and education bodies who do not pay attention to classes when they are in offline mode because of the low concentration level, think about what they would be doing when they are subjected to online classes. Most of them would not have been able to attend classes because of network connectivity and those who were able to haven’t paid much attention to them. Online education creates a big risk of passive learning which will be a serious challenge.
3. Admission Format
Not just in India, but almost all the educational bodies in the world must be looking at new methods to attract students and retain them because they must have broken ties with most of the students in this period. Universities and schools are at a high probability of losing so many students that they have to look at the easier ways of admission and have to work setting different norms for the admission criteria as well.
4. Increased Mix Learning

As the colleges and schools are opening now, we can see most of them giving options to students to attend classes either online or offline, this will increase the learning opportunities available to them as they will be able to get both face-to-face interactions with teachers as well as online learning. And this is going to be a normal future trend. For this blended study to go on smoothly, it requires teachers to be more technology-friendly to recite the best knowledge to students, not the way it is given in the times of covid in an unplanned manner.
New ways and technology will come into existence which will increase the opportunities and will improve the overall development of the students and even teaching institutions.
5. Education Guidance Systems
As the education world is moving to a technology-oriented side, more and more learning management systems will come into existence and will be given utter importance because of their valuable functioning. They help to keep a track record of documents, administration, reports, automation, and various educational courses. There is the probability that most of the educational bodies will shift to a learning management system and its pace is going to increase suddenly but at the same time, it is a must to have appropriate and affordable prices for these systems.
6. Study Material
With the new concepts like mixed learning and learning management systems coming into existence, the colleges will have to work on improving the study material for the students that will be able to cope with the transparency of the management systems. Management systems will bring more openness and clarity in the functioning of the educational bodies and they will have to include all sources and materials to give the best possible education to their students. Students will be provided with more tech-savvy knowledge in future classes.
7. Use of Technology
In the covid period, technology has helped people to maintain contact or connection among themselves but we shall not forget the fact that this online study cannot continue forever. Many people think online learning will replace teachers, but online learning has enhanced both teaching and teachers and it is not possible to continue with online classes for a long period. Technology is good but always within the limit, overuse of it can have hazardous effects on the lives of students.
Conclusion
There are both negative and positive effects on all that comes to us, and we always felt the pandemic was treating us very poorly, but we shall not neglect the fact that it has taught us many things and many new developments are securing a place in the past covid era. With the introduction of online platforms we can surely expect many conferences and meetings going completely online and some platforms will emerge as a great business deal. Pandemic brought technology infusion in our education system which was a must, most of the teachers who never used technology were now taking online classes by upgrading themselves, and this is bringing an overall development in the education pattern in India.
